I think we have all said it at some point or other...'Ah well...it's a sign of the times!' I'm never quite sure how to read the signs when I feel ruffled, flapping over indecision and uncertainty. I could be a trailblazer, beating my wings and forging a new path, with guns blazing...maybe even as game as Ned Kelly.......Nah....pretty sure that didn't go too well. I could outsource my concerns to social media....take lots of selfies, adding all the hashtags and filters, losing myself in everyone's opinions, comments and suggestions.....Hmmm? Or I could just follow the norm, a sheep...head down, ask no questions and blend in..Nah....pretty sure that would lead to a rather dull and unremarkable place.... never been one to follow the herd! Maybe I should just put my big girl pants on, face up, square off, have a cup of concrete, make up my own mind and move on! Ned Kelly is a sign post from the past pointing to the future, asking the question - 'Has anything but the signs really changed since then?' We are still at odds with ourselves and others - plenty of wars and global conflict still going on; we are consumed by image and what others think of us - evidenced by all the mental health issues and platforms emerging ; and we still follow without question - highlighted recently by offical mandates that obliterate the individual - Ahh ....a Sign of The Times indeed!
